Project Overview

This project delivered the Portland CSO Basin and 34th Street Pump Station as part of Louisville MSD’s Combined Sewer Overflow Program, including construction of a 6.7-million-gallon storage basin and associated pumping infrastructure to improve wet-weather wastewater management. Completed within a highly constrained urban environment adjacent to the Ohio River and Interstate 64, the project required maintaining continuous operation of critical sewer infrastructure while implementing innovative construction methods to accommodate limited site access and existing utilities. Baker self-performed major excavation, concrete, and process work, while coordinating multiple subcontractors and stakeholders to successfully deliver this critical infrastructure improvement.
