Breaking Records on Florida’s Gulf Coast
In May, BCCI’s Southeast Region, together with Suffolk Construction, CEMEX, and FCU Pumping, set a
record for the largest-ever continuous pour on a nongovernmental project in St. Petersburg, Florida. The project team mobilized 570 concrete trucks to pour a record 22 million pounds of concrete in a 19-hour period.
The mat pour was for The Residences at 400 Central, a 1.4-million square-foot residential tower with a 10-level garage and office building. When it is completed in early 2025, the mixed-used structure will be the tallest building on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
