440 Penn is a 13th story, mixed-use apartment building over three levels of below-grade parking, with retail on the 1st floor at DC’s thriving Union Market. The building will consist of residential amenity areas on the 2nd and Penthouse floors. Baker successfully lead many coordination efforts on the project. These coordination items included a muti-level foundation, the preservation of an existing façade, Structural slabs for the amenity spaces, exposed (board-form) finish walls, and Architectural Sunshade balconies structures.
