Project Overview

The Gulf LNG Clean Energy Project, located on the Pascagoula Bayou Ship Channel in Pascagoula, Mississippi, is a $1.1 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal. It consists of a new marine dock, two storage tanks, 10 vaporizers, and five miles of pipeline.

Aker Kvaerner was awarded the development contract and brought Baker on board to handle the concrete scope. Baker’s contract included pile caps, walls, and concrete roofing for two full containment tanks. Each tank is 160,000 cubic meters. Combined, they have a capacity of 6.6 billion cubic feet.

The project provides approximately 1.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day to the natural gas market in the southeastern United States.
