Project Overview
In April 2022, Baker wrapped up a project of historic proportions: the complete restoration and preservation of the John A. Roebling Bridge, one of Cincinnati’s most iconic structures. Baker co-workers began the expansive restoration work in March 2021. The project scope included 24,900 pounds of epoxy-coated steel reinforcement, 1,460 square feet of concrete patching, 2,346 square feet of concrete sealing, 2,546 square feet of Dutchman repair, and 2,087 square feet of masonry patching repair. Because the bridge is a National Historic Landmark, all work had to meet strict federal guidelines. The Baker team took great care to preserve the original structure and even incorporated stone blocks from the original quarry.
