Project Overview

The Norwegian Cruise Line Terminal at the Port of Miami is a design-build project that includes a new cruise terminal, a multi-story parking garage, and a vessel provisioning warehouse.The facility will accommodate cruise ships carrying up to 5,000 passengers. The 200,000-square-foot terminal at the Port of Miami’s B Terminal enables a more streamlined travel experience for Norwegian Cruise Line passengers. The project features state-of-the-art technology for speed and efficiency, as well as a welcoming dedicated lounge and service area for groups and charters. This project was completed by our Fort Lauderdale, Florida, team.

Additional Project Details

Baker was tasked with completing all structural excavation and backfill, building foundations for terminal, parking garage, warehouse building, and passenger boarding bridge, demolition of existing concrete structures, slab on grade and slab on deck (200,000+ square feet) with various finishes including polished floors, cast-in-place stairs (Class A finish), elevated beams, tie columns and tie beams, concrete flatwork, and bollard installation.

In 2020 the Southeast Territory took home two Excellence in Construction Awards — the Eagle Award and the Young Professionals Award — from the ABC Florida East Coast chapter. The awards recognized the team’s work on the Norwegian Cruise Line terminal project. Baker drove the schedule to meet the ambitious project scope in less than one year.
