Project Overview
The Ridenour Re-Pump Pump Station & Ground Storage Tank project provided additional reclaimed water capacity to the Jacksonville, Florida, region through the construction of a new booster pump station, electrical and control facilities, and a 2,000,000-gallon prestressed concrete ground storage tank. The project included the installation of large-diameter process piping, high-service pumps, and supporting infrastructure to strengthen reclaimed water distribution throughout JEA’s South Grid. The team advanced construction activities to support the owner’s request for early startup and beneficial use of the facility ahead of the contractual completion date, installed fully restrained piping and valves up to 36 inches in diameter along with complex process mechanical systems and associated instrumentation, coordinated the installation and startup of five high-service pumps to enhance system capacity, and self-performed critical scopes including excavation, concrete, yard piping, process equipment installation, process mechanical work, and commissioning to maintain quality, schedule control, and successful project delivery.
