ThyssenKrupp Steel & Stainless Mill

ThyssenKrupp Steel & Stainless USA built a $3.7 billion steel processing facility in Calvert, Alabama, to serve the automotive, construction, utility, and engineered products industries throughout North America. The plant includes a river terminal, cold rolling mill, and melt shop, and is designed to produce more than 4.1 million metric tons annually.

Baker’s scope totaled over $200 million across six contracts, and included foundations, mat foundations, pits, piers, pile caps, grade beams, columns, walls, and structural slabs. Baker routinely completed 5,000 to 8,000 CY placements, at times installing more than 20,000 CY in a single week.
