Project Overview
The Turkey Creek WWTP Improvements Project included the construction of a new ultraviolet disinfection facility, post-aeration basin, flow diversion structures, utility water pump station, headworks screw pump replacement, gravity thickener installation, and large-diameter process piping upgrades to modernize critical wastewater treatment infrastructure. Construction was completed while maintaining active plant operations, requiring complex bypass pumping and carefully coordinated plant tie-ins. The team performed excavation and structure installation up to 28 feet below grade with extensive dewatering due to the site’s proximity to Fort Loudoun Lake, self-performed critical scopes including earthwork, shoring, process piping, process equipment installation, and concrete construction, and successfully executed startup and commissioning activities to seamlessly integrate the new treatment infrastructure into the existing facility.
