Project Overview

The Temple LNG site in Reading, Pennsylvania, is a shaving terminal for the gas industry. Its purpose is to siphon gas from major pipelines during periods of low demand and store it for use when demand rises. UGI LNG had one tank on site and wanted to add a second.

UGI LNG chose CB&I for the project, and CB&I enlisted Baker to complete the concrete scope.

Baker poured over 8,600 CY of concrete for the tank foundation and ring beam. The tank included walls with freestanding liners and an exposed metal roof. It can hold 50,000 cubic meters of gas.
