Project Overview
Baker was part of the project team that helped restore Cincinnati’s iconic art deco Union Terminal. On the interior, Baker co-workers polished more than 10,000 square feet of marble, completed 24,000 square feet of tuckpointing, and cleaned terracotta. The restoration revitalized terracotta cladding that had been damaged years of bus and taxi traffic. Outside, Baker removed existing waterproofing, including 100-year-old tar, repaired concrete, installed new waterproofing, and replaced expansion joints and sealants. Painstaking attention to detail helped bring this national treasure back to life.
