Guernsey Power Station

The Guernsey Power Station, with a capacity of 1,875 MW, incorporates advanced combined cycle technology and a dry (air) cooling system, making it an efficient and economical plant. Each power train, housed in its own turbine building, comprises a GE 7HA.02 gas turbine with evaporative inlet cooling, a triple pressure reheat steam turbine, and a water/hydrogen-cooled electric generator, all arranged on a single shaft. Furthermore, each power train is equipped with an outdoor heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) that has the ability to utilize supplemental duct firing, advanced selective catalytic reduction technology for NOx reduction, and an oxidation catalyst for CO/VOC reduction.
